Nepal is a country with wonders. The capital city Kathmandu (along with Bhaktapur and Lalitpur) is known as the city of temples. The city was ruled by many kings of different dynasty who have highly contributed in making this city so beautiful with temples and monuments. Specially the malla kings who built the three Durbar Squares can never be forgotten. The shah dynasty, who were overthrown recently, resided in the Narayanhity Palace. It has now been converted to a museum and a museum like such cannot be left without visiting. The three Durbar Squares add largely to the beauty of the capital city. Besides, there are numerous other temples and religious places of all religion in Kathmandu such as the Swayambhunath, the Bouddhanath, the Pashupatinath temple etc. In addition to the religious identity of capital, the numerous hill satations such as Nagarkot, Dhulikhel, Kakani, Lakuri Bhanjyang, Shivapuri, Sundarijal, Chisapani etc around the valley add a identity of natural beauty to the city. These are some few items of importance in the city. There are numerous other which are yet to be mentioned. Once is not enough so visit again is what Kathmandu always says.
